i started cooking on a large scale in college in food co-ops that existed as an alternative for students from a traditional dining hall meal plan. cooking at scale soon proved to be a huge passion and being a head chef in my co-op became one of my favorite parts of college. since then i spent time as the assistant to the kitchen manager at the occidental arts and ecology centers retreat kitchen, worked back of house for a few catering companies, and as a private caterer myself. kitchens will always be a happy place for me and food an ultimate way i can be creative while taking care of and nourishing people.
